Don't let the description of the internal springs fool you. This is no gimmick. I thought they were at first until I was convinced to try on a pair in a she store. I was converted immediately. These shoes do, indeed, put a spring in your step. They don't actually bounce, but you can definitely feel them absorbing and softening the impact of each step. The feeling was even more pronounced when on hard surfaces like concrete sidewalks. It even softens the impact of walking down stairs. My wife, who has constant foot problems, fell in love with them immediately. They are well constructed and durable. We've worn them for 6 months now with no complaints.
Just one con; since they are leather they can tend to be a little warm, but this is not enough to deduct a star for.
I am definitely considering their Del Rio sandals. |

| If you have foot problems, as I do, you may find that a pair of Spira shoes helps a great deal. There are leaf springs in the soles and heels that cushion each step. It's like walking on a soft lawn, even if you're walking on a sidewalk. Also, these shoes will give you about an inch more in height! |

My husband works long hours at his job and he is on his feet all day. I always felt so bad for him when he would come home complaining how much his feet and legs hurt. We had tried all kinds of cushioned insoles and other inserts and nothing helped. Then I saw the Spira line of shoes and after reading other reviews, I was very hopeful that this would be the answer for my husband's aching feet and legs. I ordered the Classic Leather Walking Shoe because they were available in all black, which is the uniform for my husband's job. When they finally arrived, I made him try them on right away and walk on our tile floor. He said he felt like he was walking on a cloud. I cried, I was so happy.
He says these shoes are better when you are moving, more than standing still, so he tries to keep moving around when he can. But thank God, he doesn't complain about his aching feet and legs any more.
If you have any doubt about spending the money for these shoes, don't. You won't be dissapointed. |

The shoes are terrific for everyday wear, and extremely comfortable for weekend walking. The springs in the soles; how long will they provide "bounce"?
