I've been using these for disc golfing. Through water, over rocky terrain, snow, and mud.
I veinly bought them because they are one of the few that actually look good to me. They have held up well, no seems breaking or anything. If I washed them again they would probably look new, except the silver by the laces is cracking. In 2 inches of water my feet stay dry and in 5 inches you can stand on your tippy toes and stay dry. That probably means they don't exchange air well and they are the only shoes I've actually had smell bad. So water resistance is probably in exchange for a little smell, a can of shoe spray will fix that.
For a really hot day with no mud or water around, I'd probably opt for a more breathable shoe, but this one still does the trick just as well along with the right sock selection of course. |
